DC weapon question

Post by BadenBeast »

In the DC Item catalog for a two-handed weapon it states:

"Two Handed Weapons
+5 Enhancement
2d6 Elemental or Sonic Damage Damage
Keen
2d6 Massive Critical
Any Strong or Moderate OnHit, DC 20, 2 rounds / 50%
= 52DCs"

But warforged great axe has 3d6 Massive Critical.
Is 2d6 the highest a DC weapon can go?

Warforged has no Enhancement Bonus IIRC, so they may out at +4 Enhancement,.+5 AB IIRC

Andy's warforged is 3d6 massive, 5 ab, 4 ench, 1d6 sonic, keen.

It was a work around early on years ago that the warforged came with 3d6 massive (better than anything else) and keen (biggest mythal needed) then you mythal the rest on.

Don't different weapons have different mass critical damage range?

Mass critical has noting to do with crit range, its just extra dmg you get on crit

That was just how they balanced that particular weapon back in like 2010-ish. Think a few have 2d10 massive crit. Mythaling that won't give you +5 Enhancement without giving up too many slots to get the rest of what you can on a DC item.

DC two-handers cap at 2d6, though, yes. Weapon type doesn't matter.
