Chronicle of the General History of Amia
Purpose : To inform and record the history as it pertains to Amia, and related lands. Ruathym, Runedar, Khem, Shadowscape, etc.
This is a chronicle of the general history of Amia. This was written in 1389 DR by Arterin Heldeion, Monk of Oghma.
NOTE FROM AUTHOR - I have placed the general history summarized here as it pertains to Amia. I have also placed references to several books, and several records, although there are more records to read. I am releasing this chronicle at this time because due to interviews with people who recall things, they often mention things which are not in the books, records, or the general history. Thus, I have concluded it cannot be done correctly now without interviewing the people of Amia in a way.
It is my desire that this chronicle in this early stage, be addressed by Amia over time. Confirm it, disagree with it, add to it at your leisure. By all means, have at it.That is why I am releasing this now.

-----

I will divide the recent general history of Amia into 4 phases. I've done this myself for simplicity.
1: The 1st Horde War and Before. (1352 - 1366)
2: The Time of Dragons (1367 - 1373)
3: The Black Times (1374 - 1380)
4: The Treaty of Light and After (1381 - 1389)
I have summarized the general notes as they pertain to Amia for this chronicle. One can read more details in the general history notes available in every library.

1: The 1st Horde War and Before.
1352: The Thayvians arrive on Amia to expand their network of enclaves.
1358 : The Time of Troubles, Zanshibon ends up in the Abyss.
1362 : The (1st) Horde Wars begin. Cordor (and Kohlingen?*) take a role in defending human civilization. *From the Kohlingen records...

2: The Time of Dragons
1367 : Emberblazes take Wyrmhold and the Dark Flight destroys Benwick. Imperator retreats to Kohlingen. The Duke of Cordor disappears and a council is elected. (Note: It is unclear if this is the first council of Cordor as described in the text "History of Cordor Part 1/2")
1369 : Council of Cordor is disbanded and the Duke returns. Monsters attack Udos Droxun beneath Cordor, and the drow retreat to Ultrinann.
1370 : Bendir becomes a town, Randy "The Blue HIn" is the first mayor.
1371 : The Simbul comes to Amia and throws out the Thayvians. The Thayvians in Cordor resist, leading to the "Cordor Orphanage Fire". (More than one orphanage fire?)
1372 : Some of Cordor collapses, and Cordor is flooded from earthquakes. The nearby island of Lumorier disappears. It is thought to have sunk or exploded due to volcanic activity. Cordor is rich enough to rebuild itself and annexes Wharftown briefly. Afterward Wharftown is again independent.
* It is unclear if this is the "Great Quake" mentioned in the Arcanum War record, or another quake reported to have been caused by a "demi lich Ais".
1373: Banites take Wharftown for a bit. Afterward, Garth becomes Mayor. The events of the text "The Wyrmshadow Prophecy" unfold on Amia.

3: The Black Times
1374 : Vodak creature and oozes in Cordor, later destroyed by adventurers. Brogendenstein is destroyed by Kraven the Vampire, who is eventually defeated. The settlement of Barak Runedar is built afterward.
1375 : The Battle of Poisoned Wells occurs on Khem, defenders and adventurers defending Khem from asabi and stingers. Wharftown rebuilds the Selune Temple. Valas releases Mylthar into the bones of Imperator. After two failed attempts to make things right with help from Kohlingen, he turns to Tarkuul, who betrays him. Mylthar ends up carrying Valas away, never to return.
1376 : Duke Montgomery D'Cordor willingly abdicates his throne to Mark Dorne and Collin Reyes. A council is formed. Afterward, an explosion occurs below the city and Duke Cordor disappears. Cordor says Mynna and Yurioji are to blame. Talos and Reyes have a conflict, and Talos ravages north Cordor farms. Wards in Ankhremun shatter and the desert goes dark as undead rage under a cleric "Zanthun". Nes'ek is destroyed but adventurers manage to defeat Zanthun in his lair. The Black Caravan begins making appearances in Amia, and a "static" rises which prevents divination and scrying for a year.
1377: Collin Reyes takes a trip, while other ministers fall ill for fall to violence. Sharrans and Mystran knights fight over a chalice. The Mystrans are almost fooled into a bad ritual but defeat the Sharrans.
War of Trampled leaves at Winya - lots of monsters - ended by slaying the leaders of the beasts. Cordor declares adventuring certificates are needed. Caravan attacks and destroys the Kelemvor temple, while attacking Benwick. The clergy move to Khem to establish a new temple.
BLACK commits violent actions until leader Richard Johnson is captured and executed. Collin Reyes is assassinated upon returning by a seagull. Cordor declares all seagulls to be killed. After Reyes' death, the curtain of static lifts.
1378 : Amia forest is thrown into turmoil as non predators over populate the ecosystem. Foreign predators are introduced but prove too efficient. Kossuthan Circle of Six comes to deliver judgement, the forest turns out fine. Black Caravan , banites, and kelemvorites fight. Black Caravan rescinds war against kelemvorites, and defeat banites atop Skull Crags, collapsing the mountains on top of their temple.
Ankhremun Minotaurs, stingers, and a brown dragon. Adventurers defeat them. In the wake of the Black Caravan Skull Crags, the Horseman of the Apocalypse leave the region and swiftly claim Chillwyck. A tense cold war emerges between Endirs Point and their neighbor.
1379: House Shadowflame goes down. Green lake of Amia drains away revealing orcs and "the undoer". The artifacts that control it are returned to Winya, and the machine disappears. Whispers of Terzaroch faded. Black Caravan apologizes and leaves the isle. Banites take Guldorand and make a keep. Ultrinann is destroyed and seemingly abandoned. Goblins and Kobolds north of Cordor fight a small war that ends in stalemate. Morteguarde is freed and begins violence across Amia and Ruathym. Cult of the Rider Beyond rises in Actand. An alliance destroys the Banite Keep and banite influence lessens.
1380: Johnathin Leonhard is ressurected in Cordor, a race for new health minister begins. Monteguarde is defeated by the Monolith after "eternal eclipse". The Rider beyond returns. The Rider makes overtures to several of the dark factions of the island, and with help his army storms and conquers the seventh layer of the hells, so the Rider ascends to lordship there.
The Blight of Caraigh happens, and Forrstakkr finds itself a Blood War battleground as both sides attempt to claim a prophecy child. Several adventurers are kidnapped and return with no explanation. An Aurora appears over Cordor and destroys the Mystran Monolith. Caraigh issues come to a head with a battle at Castle Blackmoor. Wiltun occupies Southern Caraigh.
*From the Arcanum War book* Guldorand is burned to the ground. Cordor offers citizenship to Guldorand. Guldorand is attacked again. A plague breaks out in Amia Forest, killing birds and larger animals. Soon elves are dying and two weeks after it reaches Cordor, and Elftown in South Cordor is hit hard as residents die or flee. The plague rages for 5 months until it passes. Blue Skies Academy opens to students.
The notes are dated as such in the Arcanum War book - 10.9 Justicar Saul Marinsbane of Kohlingen passes away after collapsing at the annual Wyrmfall celebration. 24.9 Representatives from Cordor including the Speaker attend his funeral.

4: The Treaty of Light and After. 1381 - 1389 (Current year)
*From the records of Kohlingen* Justicar Saul Marinsbane passes. In the wake of his death the spirit of the silver dragon Imperator departs the city. Cystana L'Saeniarais is named Justicar by the Temple. First woman, non paladin, non Triad to hold the office. The Treaty of Light is formed between Kohlingen, Barak Runedar, Winya Ravena, the Shrine of Eilistraee, and Copper Industries. Kohlingen sends aid to dwarf allies of Runedar in the Winter War.
*From the Arcanum War book*
Commonwealth troops move to the Lowlands Delta in the wake of Reaver attacks and claim it. Captain of Adventuring Divison Navaeh Tarvencia is declared enemy of the state. Rumors spread of a Kohlingen attack on the Lowlands Delta, but Kohlingen denies. Asked by Mayor of Wharftown, Kohlingen troops protect Wharftown. Treaty of Light is signed by Kohlingen, Copper Industries, the Shrine of Eilistraee, Runedar, Wharftown, and Winya. In retaliation the Commonwealth revokes the special privilege of drow possessing an insignia of the Shrine to enter - banning all drow. Castiel Fryar is taken prisoner, but later quietly released. Tarkuul denounces Kohlingen but condemns the Arcanum.

Interviews for recent information:
NOTE FROM AUTHOR : *I don't specifically know if this battle took place at this time, perhaps a War Knight can confirm*.

Elwyn Sabel, former War Knight: Most memorable fight...Hale. It was a small town, beset by a banshee, ogres and a coven of hag witches. They brokered peace between the humans and ogres, solved the occurance of the banshee by finishing her song and finding her killer. And, the mayors daughter was unfortunately slain by the coven as we attempted to rescue her. The stupid decision of fools who thought they knew best. I also helped their militia train, supplied them with arms and armor, and put them to war. A few died, but far fewer than if nothing had been done. Small island southwest of Amia. Pretty isolated. Didn't even have a dock. Had to take a skip and land on the beach.

Ania on the fall of Kohlingen: *Largely confirmed by two other interviews from Rosary and Elwyn*
Dragonbane war has been known to some, including myself, as the second Dark Flight. His family were hunted for their essences to forge weapons of terrible power anathema to all forms of life on this plane. Namely the dragonbane sword, but others in likeness - the elfbane, humanbane, hinbane and so on. If a weapon of the namesake race was used, it would slowly burn away the victim that traditional healing magic beyond a miracle or divine intervention could not heal.
Wilfire was a victim of a dragonbane weapon and it left him crippled for a time. Barryan was involved in this, but through efforts of me and Torsten of Howness he was nearly save from that conflict. We worked to try and get his mate and himself away from this plane, from the servants of Deepingdesire so that they could not forge the weapons. It ultimately ended - with aid from adventurers and Kohlingen - with the death of his mate and the near destruction of his clutch, it didn't help that not even before his mates corpse had lost its final cinders those of Kohlingen and the adventurers mocked his loss.
In fury, he fled and amassed what forces he could. Deepingdesire(dd) on the other hand already had plans against Kohlingen for his "deity" of the Far Realms.

The battle itself...began quietly. After the end of the dragonbane conflict and the destruction of all but one of the bane weapons, the final weapon was spirited away to Bahamut himself, to prevent use of it against the gods. That weapon, I felt its power. It had one purpose, to destroy dragon deities themselves.

The battle was fierce. Once the weapon was away, Lady Las'Claianna Le'Quella of Evermeet called forth great energy from the plane of positive energy to shroud the Dragonstone Keep as the battle started to prevent Deepingdesires(dds) forces from attacking it, and to provide us some time. We were divided into two war hosts: One to defend Kohlingen's inner district, and the other to repel the attacks by the now arriving Barryan over the Greengarden district. I helped lead the Greengarden defenses, and we gave a good account of ourselves to buy time for any remaining civilians to flee to Barak Runedar through the Feylake district.
It was then Barryan joined the fray personally, myself and Torsten tried to reason with him to abandon this vengeance. His anger burned fierce, and would not leave until Kohlingen was cinders and Dd was dead. He took to the skies shortly after.
We then abandoned the Greengarden district, as Dds host of nighthaunts and shadow demons were overrunning the defenses of the inner district. We fought for every street and corner, but it slowly became a tactical retreat to Feylake. Anyone who didn't get out in time, was doomed. Pockets of guards were cut down, civilians who didn't get out in time. Tales of surviving guards came through. Metallic disciples making a stand at the Shrine of Bahamut. A pair of former Triadics defending the doors of the Triad's Temple. The Feylake itself is where we held our last line of defense. Facing dd and Barryan themselves. DD was the first to be brought down, helped by a remaining lesser dragonbane weapon sported by King Whurak. *
Then, Barryan came. Barryan postured with us for a small while before striking down Justicar Cystana in one fell swoop. Our Elder Cael'vin of Winya tried to save her, but met his end alongside her.

As the last of the refugees escaped through the portal door to Runedar, we tried to stop Barryan from sealing that door as the city burned and the shadows engulfed it. We would have been lost if not for Las'Claianna's last resort. She called upon the Weave to strike down Barryan.* It worked, but left her on the verge of death, and cut off from the Weave for the rest of her days. The last of us fled into the portal just before its destruction, and ended up in Runedar with the refugees. Kohlingen, Runedar, and Winya lost many that day.
*In the interview with Rosary she said that Claianna struck down the shadow dragon, and Barryan was free to burn Kohlingen down. Clarification is requested.

Me and Elwyn were in the inner district holding off the shadow beasts and the nighthaunts. It was at that point it wasn't a battle, but a retreat.
The Plane Renderer (pr) used me as a puppet to attack others there. In an effort to stop it, Kurchin tried a wish spell which wiped my mind, and later restored
my memories and sanity. The pr fell to my blade.
The Soul Anchor was dealt with by Alvian, who got himself infused with some of its energies. He freed human, elf, and dwarf spirits that day and it changed him.

Xy'glythar on the aftereffects of the fall of Kohlingen: Both dragons were armed with dragonbane flame, and Deepingdesire had some shadow-related artifact capable of planar effects.
Three notable effects afterward: Lingering Shadows, Soul Anchor, and Plane Renderer rift. They were dealt with in reverse order. Plane Renderer was an entity of Far Realm, who may or may not have taken form of rift and demiplane and incarnation within that demiplane. It was defeated. It manifested first as a planar rift, which adventurers had entered. They found themselves in what could be a demiplane, where power of PR seemed absolute. It kept manifesting itself as creatures to harass adventurers who came to deal with it. It was capable of reading minds and manipulating memories - further understanding our reality. The battle was ended on the streets of still burning Kohlingen, its final incarnation defeated. Soul Anchor: Eventually, one of the elven mages managed it, and had side effects. The rest were shadows. Alvian was elf mage perhaps. Good kid.

It was also in this period that a 2nd Horde War began (Quoted from Wilfire).
Wharftown was also attacked fiercely and renamed Moonpier, and Cystana was put to where it is now by magical means, from Chalkcliff.

Notes of texts about older times, a summary I did myself -
History and Threat of the Arcanum and Collin Reyes, by Ulrik Valas, Yossarin bani Shadowbard, and Ser Robert Henry Richard or Caris. :
Collin Reyes invented the teleport wand. Educated in tower of Mystra. He was inducted into Amian part of the Arcanum. Then a time travel wand. Mentor jack tested it but became time crazed in mind. It would later be rebuilt at the rebuilt monolith of Mystra under Halen Vans leadership.
After this Collin became minister of magic in Cordor after private practice, and dedicated himself to the winding way - for one to grow in magic, another must lessen. His chosen rival - Duke Montgomery D'Cordor. At some point later, Duke Cordor was banished beyond time.
Tensions between duke cordor and sir mark dorne rose due to dukes judgement in a case. Duke absolved LT Galverson of any wrongdoing and made a proclamation that the infamous tolerance policy was just a social practice and not law. He also agreed with a petition to exile worshippers of lolth
from the city. Dorne thought Duke did it out of friendship, and that Duke didn't take threats from adventurers seriously. Mark Dorne sought instruction from a mage to deal with arcane and divine adventuring vigilantes. It was Collin. Soon after, Dorne ordered security force to examine those in cabinet and with business in palace for any hint of law breaking. Also, another security force would lock down the duchal palace just before the Dukes abdication. Lady captain refused, and half of the scouts along with her and galverson departed seeking to expose the coup. still, law knights
locked down goldberg and then scouts the palace later on. collin pegged him down, and mark dorne got security. dukes legal defenders were threatened and harmed, and an attempt to free him later on was said to have killed him. But not really. A group tried to rescue him by using minister carton as contact, but he died of arcane ailment. someone tried to help by anti magic circle at monolith, and he got better, but a mage teleported in and poofed him. bearing the symbol of netherese.

Collin Reyes as magical leader of Cordor, challenged Talos which led to Talos destroying the northern farms to which magical protection did not extend. After, Speaker Joseph Maximillian urged Reyes to make himself scarce, which he did to extend his group the Arcanum to more people which
returned with him. People took this time to uncover hsi secrets in his office and workplace. One of which was the Tempest Claustram. Even though it was returned, the captain of the Law Knights did not prosecute Reyes. 2 deaths and an arrest of a group member caused other members to make themselves scarce.
The Zeitgeist was a beast created from the Claustrum, and took 3 members of the group back in time to stop Reyes. The zeitgeist soon became the dominant threat with mighty control of much of magic. The only way it could be sated was with the death of the one who brought it - Reyes. Sir Avadon gathered a group and planned to slay Reyes when he returned from the mainland. The body was tossed under sea, then brought to cape slakh, where it was given to Zeigeist who devoured it. Or so it appeared, because Avadon was working for Reyes, and did not kill Reyes. He was thus unbound in time. Also, the Zeitgeist wasn't an accident, and Reyes brought it to the world to become unbounded.
The new minister was slain, then his wife, but he was resurrected. Ministy took him, and Tytalus used hypnotism and mental spells to slowly addle his mind over time. After a while, he went to the Salandran temple for mental care. Tytalus took a trip off Amia, and the minister healed and told his story. Tytalus had been busy in Cordor, where the ministry was understood to now be entirely the arcanum. Tytalus was actually a high Netherese mage who assisted in Karsus' Folly. Azuth and Oathtakers defeated him and banished him using Claustrum. But when Reyes was eaten by Zeitgeist, Tytalus switched with Reyes. Tytalus failed twice at bringing Reyes back to this time. An investigation into the place below Cordor - sanctuary of sin - revealed a keystone made at Cordor's founding, which the Arcanum had used to manipulate the populace into rioting. At another point, Tytalus and 12 mages were using blood magic and chronomancy to return Reyes and bring tragedy to Cordor. They were stopped by a mage which killed them all, but Tytalus had a clone which reawakened.
After this, the lights appeared over Cordor and went across the leylines to destroy the Mystran Monolith. It would later become clear after an expedition to Tytalus' sanctum in Maztica that blood needed to be spilled in Cordor to return Reyes. The group foiled a plot to attack Cordor and Claustrumed Tytalus again.
But Reyes had gone beyond time, and thus can change reality now to his whims. He wants to be a deity himself over a human centric magocracy, like Netheril of old. Changes in time have wrought "paradox spectres" .
There was a covert operation done by a group that freed prisoners from an arcanum sanctum under cordor where they were doing blood magic. Kohlingen and Goldbergs and Mistress Cordor and others determined they must intervene to destroy Arcanum in Cordor. They did so and unraveled a leyknot which also would have destroyed the city, while fighting the corruption of the populace wrought from the Arcanum. They also brought back Duke of Cordor from time prison. Then two operations - one from duchy of Kohlingen and Runedar, another from Wiltun - attacked and destroyed much of the Arcanum, which was somehow brought back by timeline changes possibly.
Duke Cordor had a few fights with Reyes, including one where he tried to stop him with ancient elven allies and planar allies. He failed as Reyes had grown in power.
It is suggested that the wizards of Amn are actually the Arcanum now as well. They have sought recompense for the destruction of Helmsport from Cordor, which has not been given due to the sheer absurdity of these events. Amn has helped, but we don't want to accept their control over anything. They might be the Arcanum.
Apparently Reyes is still out there.

NOTES FROM AUTHOR
The last book was worrying as it throws the entire history into question.
Kohlingen records say that Collin Reyes was defeated.
There is also a timeline in this book on the Arcanum to have supposedly preserved the history. It largely details government actions in Cordor at the time. In there I found at least three interesting things of note.
1.) Mention of Guldorand burning and being attacked, which I hadn't seen before.
2.) Mention of a "Great Quake" which I had not seen before, though it might have been the quake that flooded Cordor and made Lumorier go away?
3.) Mention of a plague that affected an "Elftown" part of Cordor. I have never heard this before.
I would ask for clarifcation on these 3 things with those who recall Cordor at this time.
CARRYING ON

The Story of Sword Saint Nabessa summarized:
Altair Nabessa was born on northern Amian isle in a simple life. Town of Jukka, a fishing village near mouth of minmir, one of many villages that Cordor bought goods from to export. To help with trade, Nabessa was sent to a blacksmith to learn smithing. This blacksmith was a follower of Tyr, and had shown Nabessa Tyr. They didn't have a temple, though one was sought. First trip to sell his smithed goods to northern coasts where ships sailed, some nobleman came including Lord Darius Tristum of Benwick. Shield and clothes had Tyrran symbols. He declared they were an order of the Knights of Benwick who had traveled from mainland city to uncover a "truthful, more honest living, and to share words of faith." Lord Tristam and his retinue bought local things at better prices than the Cordor buyers. They would build a city that was a beacon to the faithful. Building began quickly as more ships from Benwick came. Word of all this reached Cordor and a public council was elected to oversee Cordor at this time.* Soon after Cordor passed a law stating much of the lands north was actually Cordor, and so would tax much of it. Dignitaries went to Tristam and showed that the things used to build the city came from Cordor, so it was actually Cordor. Tristam said go away I'll go to Cordor later. A month later he went and came back, and told Cordor nah.
The city continued to form over months and was dubbed Kohlingen "City of Paladins". So promising was freedom from Cordor, many settlements were simply abandoned. Cordor wished to see the island united under a single profitable banner, so they tried again and again. When Tristam said nah to the Duke*, the council muttered of war. Nabessa set about working to help build houses and hunt for his citizens, as well as a temple of Tyr. Rumors reached Kohlingen and a milita grew, but waited for many months. Council and Duke sent a letter saying last chance, and some citizens left to deal with their Cordor affairs. Tristam got salty and prepared for war. Nabessa doubted Cordor's claim, but couldn't deny the situation when his father had to go. Nabessa went ham and smithed stuff for Kohlingen. Tristam said good job in the temple. Nabessa said I am a sword saint of Kohlingen now. Sometime afterward, caravans from Cordor weren't welcome. Nabessa told one to get but Councilor Lucas Freckin said sheathe your sword and Nabessa was like but I am my sword and Lucas said then duel brah. But Nabessa beat him, told him to go away, and this drew the attention of the Duke. Duke offered great rewards to those who defeated Nabessa, and so many tried but failed. Nabessa became the hope and shield of Kohlingen. Letters from those in Cordor spoke of a militia and a possible draft. A militia soon overtook much of the lands outside Kohlingen. Tristam recalled all to Kohlingen and contemplated land war for a while.
But an envoy of Cordor came to the gates and was taunting them. Nabessa came out and said you shall not pass. Loads of soldiers tried but Nabessa stood strong, until a rider came from the south to declare the Duke had been deposed by the merchants who dueled Nabessa before. Afterward everything went cool and a sword school was opened. Kohlingen was free.
A grand holiday is held to celebrate this. The sword was never really found.
NOTE FROM AUTHOR
*Which Duke and which council? The text the history of cordor part 1/2 says the first council was elected and names 5 of them. Also, the general history states a council was formed of mostly adventurers, so it is possible this was one of the first councils. Which Duke was deposed in this story? Clarification on the Dukes of Cordor and the councils is needed.
CARRYING ON

Thayvian influence summarized - used to be that Thay sold most of the magic weapons on Amia, and many of the works in old places were from Thayvian funds. They did this for gold and life essence.
They also used soul smithing, meaning the energies used to forge the weapon came from a personal source of the user to strengthen the bond. After a time, rumor was quintessential soul magic. Thay was ruined, then many of them were trapped in Cordor so they went to the orphanage. There was a Mystran raid on a Thayan & Aurilite group in Forrstakkr.

General interviews section for reference and discussion:

Fort Summer conflict with the War Knights: Freezing cold, overgrowth, and Devilins affinity for ogre puns. During ostland war we were trying to claim a new base. We chose Fort Summer just east of Endirs Point as the order had historic ties to that township and it was away from the island. Mixed success, finally abandoned when we kept getting pressure about us possibly disturbing the nearby underdark tunnels and reassigned ourselves to Moonpier and Endir proper. Banite keep siege might've used a blackpowder cannon.

Samantha on County Monty: I know it's the biggest reason Ulrik spent time away from his family and an obsession of his. The vampires had an unfortunate arrangement with some close to Ulrik as well like Rras-rarri. A half kin dragon, one of the first major draconic influences before the dark flight. Rras infiltrated the tower mainly through Ulriks late wife, who passed away when he did, due to an attack from one of the lower planes riia. She was a dark elf that was kind and smart. Hated Ulrik for a long time, and refused to help him with the cleansing. Due to his ignorance of the extreme danger of high circle sorceries. Made himself an altar of Netheril, ancient way of focusing magics through physical representations.

Anonymous witness: Stonehold was ruled by a blackguard who worshiped the Nightsinger who called himself Reven. He mistreated a wizard and sorceress under his employ Draklaw Emberblaze and Layala Valio. He sent them on a diplomatic envoy to Benwick and Benwick took them hostage. They forced poor Layla a woman with a defect where bright light hurt her eyes, and shoved her face into light while fiance Draklaw was made to watch. Draklaw swore he would avenge the harm done to his beloved on Benwick and Reven alike. The two mages plotted to bring all who had wronged them to heel. They leaked knowledge to the islands adventurers of Reven and crucial information about his plans, and in less than a fortnight he was dragged out of his keep and drawn and quartered. With the blackguard gone, they had but to end the devil who was bound to Stonehold and used it to barter for souls, and to that end the Draklaw crafted the crown of Embers. This crown of embers was forged in a volcanos fire with priceless rubies and molten black iron, shaped by magical will and connected to his draconic ancestry, and magic known only to he the master of dragon magic. The crown called them, brought them before the Prince of Wyrms. The Dark Flight. Large dragons all, the devil in Stonehold stood not a chance. He was rent asunder and Draklaw and Layla captured his essence so he could never reform in hell. To punsih him for daring to try and trick them out of their souls in the past. "Vengeance belongs to the emberblaze family, all affronts are worthy of the flames". Stonehold was taken by force and guile, and its king and queen earned every stone of it with might.
The torture of Layla now Draklaws wife would never go without punishment. The Dark Flight attacked Benwick, and destroyed it. Draklaw left his hold in the hands of Scarlet Ve'heer and she lost control of the wyrms and the hold. "She let everything fall apart". When the Dark Flight attacked Kohlingen, they were defeated so soundly that Wyrmhold fell afterward and was destroyed. The Dark Flight did not appreciate Kohlingen sheltering Imperator and his metallics, and warring in what they considered brutal ways. "Acted as if it was so pure it could get away with complacency to the wicked acts so long as they were done in the name of good." "Wyrmhold was peaceful and they ever struck only at those who threatened them with war." "Wyrmhold had potential to grow and protect its people under its king and queen. The crown is suspected to still be with the king." Respecting dragons, knowing their might and magic is one thing. Draklaw worshipped Tchazzar the hero of Chessenta. Wyrmhold was a religously free state. "Wyrmhold treated all equally so long as they followed its laws. Many avoided it due to slander spread. Rumors of sacrifice, black magic, and social manipulation."

Anonymous source : The light on Benwick. A perpetual shaft of white light as bright as the noon day sun above Benwick. Amped up light spell that bothered undead, fiends, and some plane touched. Benwick used to test people to see if they were undead or fiends in disguise by throwing them into the "Holy Light of Benwick". They used to also hire those of unclean birth to dirty jobs they couldn't do.

Samantha on Benwick: Benwick was messy before this. There were these paladin brothers back then, Kald and Skald or...Trent and Bald...they did some messy things. I was even talking to Yaston and how some of his knights messed up my raid on the Loviataran Shrine and Yaston was better than the previous ones. But what happened with Draklaw, they might not have done it randomly.

Kohlingen records interesting quotes, some on Benwick: "and the shadows of old Benwick darken the city"
"against the corrupt influences in Galahads royal court"
"yuan ti that lurk in the ruins of a old empire that dominated amia long ago"
"descended deeper into ignominy during the 'exodus of virtue' to Kohlingen"
"Reyes slain by a contract assassin named Johnathan Livingston, who had been polymorphed into a seagull"
Anonymous source: I didn't go much up near Benwick, since I had heard they were mistreating races they considered "unclean".

NOTE
Another text titled "The true history of Ithael-Rilark (wyrmhold) " describes things a little differently. But of interest to the author of this compendium is that text describing that Layla and Draklaw Emberblaze were often serving with fiends , vampires, infernalists and others. It is the authors opinion (Arterin Heldeion, Monk of Oghma) that due to these acts they were evil indeed, and...deserved retaliation for that evil. Also, you probably don't want to live with beings that worship Tiamat.
This however, does not excuse the evil that was rumored to have been in Benwick. Nonetheless, the worst of all of course, was the destruction of innocent life such as children at Benwick.
CARRYING ON

Cromlech on it : The Emberblazes used the Dark Flight to find the Crown of Embers. Not the other way around. This book was clearly written by somneone who held the evil folks on a pedestal. The Dark Flight was as wicked as they come. Their purpose was to conquer the world for the Dragon Queen. They sought to destroy those who could not be cowed. Enemies to all innocent people. Draklaw had to sear fealty to Infernus, she was a Chosen of Tiamat. He was juist a piddly little disciple with a drop of dragon blood in him. Infernus being a red dragon of the Dark Flight. Two whites, and two blues one of them Baulg. Ta'li'shma another green was killed because they thought she was weak. Bahamut's Wings were 5, a gathering of metallics to oppose them. Led by Imperator. Justive, the silver, Imperator a rare platinum like Bahamut, Rockhopper, one of copper. Morningdew, a brass. Arcanos, a gold. Rockhopper and Morningdew are still alive. Everyone else is dead, from both flights.
Anonymous Source when asked the question "Who do you think was in control, Draklaw or the dragons" : I think they both thought they were in control.
The Wyrmshadow prophecy text by Zellani also states: "Infernus was a mighty red dragon and a powerful Cleric. If it were not for the direct orders of Drak'law Emberblaze, the vile creature responsible for ordering the Dark Flight together, she would likely have led the Flight herself, as her prowess exceeds that of even Aurichon's". Though it also said "Aurichon, a powerful Black Dragon, was Lord Wyrmhold for years...He commanded the Dark Flight with absolute authority".

NOTE FROM AUTHOR
Uncertain as to who was in control in Wyrmhold. What was the Crown of Embers and what did it do?
CARRYING ON

Ania in another interview : Winter War later of 1381 to early 1382. Mainly in Runedar. *Confirmed by witness and Kohlingen records together*

Rosary on Dale history : Treaty of Light, Dale didn't want to be caught up in Kohlingen and Runedar affairs. People of the Dale thought Kohlingen knights were "holier than thou". When Serena was mayor Serena invalidated all Drow and other insignias. Some Shrine drama and certain examples of things. It was fierce at times but this was due to being attacked many times and many rogue adventurers acting rashly. Then Nof became mayor and he helped stabilized relations. During Lyle as Mayor the original walls were built. 1382 was when Rosary was elected after Nof. Rosary tried many projects some failed some worked. Rosary tried to expand Bendir by building another outer wall. General Dicey oncer tried to make relations with Runedar, then broke them again afterward since he was asking for militia equipment.
Order of Mayors - from old records - Randy, Boppi, Drem, Budly, Nof, Joanna, Lyle, Laurel, Missus, Serena, Breazy, Nof again, Rosary, Gideon, Rosary, Mari. After Rosary serving, they opted for councils. Rosary was planning an election for Gideon and Kira, but the harpers wanted to extend their influence by using Gideos trade policies. Gideon wanted to unify and establish each settlement. Sullivan - husband of Rosary at the time - threatened to slay Harpers who stopped in Bendir, and they got help from "anti harpers" who gave them identity lists. Gideon did win, but the results were heavily stacked by the harpers. Since he was elected in part due to the harpers, Gideon was frustrated. So his time was shortlived and Rosary was elected again. Rosary dealt with threats like aberrations and formians.

Zanshibon witness:
Used to be Paush and Windreaper was trapped in the layer as well. The first tower of Mystra was on the site where the portal to the Abyss is now. Paush seemed to accept Zanshibon on his layer, and protected the city. Windreaper was slain somehow. Paush decided to be more careful. Though some have tried to bargain with Paush and win out, Paush is still the leader of Zanshibon.
This witness disagrees with the term by the writer of the general history "hurled into the Abyss". Witness says it required opening 3 gates to the Abyss. The last of these gates required Celestial Blood to open.
Wharftown used to be a "lot more lively". The shrine was quite nice and some merchants were there. Leanred how to run a mythal forge in the old wizards tower in Kohlingen. The other mythal forge was in Cordor. Trent and Kald Blakes, paladin twins, quote "annoying". Followers of the Triad. "The Slanty Shanty" in Wharftown, Sharran paintings on the wall after Emilie did a remodeling. It was a tavern, with shady townsfolk and allowed shady business to thrive.
One of Wharftowns able leaders was Alanna, before the Everguards got to her.
Stonehold might have had the Horseman in it for a while.

Xy'glythar of Belenoth: The Monolith of Mystra was once the foremost institution dedicated to Mystra in the region. Figures such as Tuomas Valo, Ulrik Valis, and others made that tower their home. Also was the base of the Weave Knights, a magically inclined order who aided the Mystrans and worked to keep the abuses of magic to a minimum.
The isle of Zanshibon was once on this plane, and their local leader made deals with various demonic entities for power. In exchange, the entire town was absorbed into the 363rd layer, with its old citizens meeting a grim end.

Kacha: Zanshibon was an island south of Amia only reachable via magical portal. Same one near Malarfang. Pasha was a cruel and greedy person who used his people and was an indulgent hedonist. His desires led him to study demonology, and a desire for an eternity of indulgence led to him making a deal. Paush is the Pasha of old, and everyone who was under the pashas rule was transformed and their memories shattered.
Jiharua an aasimar cleric was tricked into opening the third gate. For mothers after forces of Amia tried to reclaim Zanshibon but failed time after time. A great fire of the Amia Forest was started by a tiefling worshipper of the Nightsinger.
Feonir and Floriane and shadowscape: A city built in the shadowplane a long time ago that got overrun and wrecked. Lost for a time. Feonir found the ruins, and he and Floriane and a number of shadowdancers set to work rebuilding it to bring people there.
Of interest is the generally known recorded history of Shadowscape in their libraries: Please see the refernece section.
Of interesting note for this part is the general information available on the formation of Zanshibon. : Paush was a demon lord who, among his usual conquests, wanted to ravage the Prime...When the Gates begain opening originall on Amia, one of them opened a pathway to that layer of the Infinite Abyss. Paush was making his way through, and quickly learned about the Keepers, and the rest of the Gates. Paush erroneously assumed that controlling all the Gates would allow him to control and freely enter and exit the Prime Material, and so he quickly wrested control of two of the Gates, leaving the last in the hands of Jiharu Kusama.
At this point, the Keepers...foresaw the ending: Paush would control the Prime, but only because the conflict would never be resolved, the Gates would never be reclosed and re-Anchored, and the Prime would be ravaged for eternity. The Keeper of the third and final Gate approached Jiharu, and informed her that she would need to turn the Gate over to Paush to ensure the safety of Amia and the Prime. There would be a price...one territory of Amia must be granted to Paush...
Jiharu could save the world, but would need to damn a part of Amia...Jiharu chose Zanshibon, a corrupt land of decadence and sin. So it was done...leaving him (Paush) stranded from his armies. He chose to planeshift Zanshibon back to his Layer of the Infinite...as the new dominant force on the layer.

Shrine History - Erelkacha: Founded by Vikki D'Vreze a drow priestess who lived a bit before but was murdered by assassins leaving the shrine empty. The original one was behind Oakmist Vale. Between 1358 and 1362 DR. Kacha and Jud'vardas around 15 years ago, ex patron. A male drow bard of many talens. At the time nobody really cared about the Shrine since Kampo hadn't built his shop so they weren't near anyone. First bit Kacha remembers was dealing with the cult of the rider problem in Actand, a small village that had been there for a time. Shrine might have been first on the scene. "Actand was a small village of people trying to get by which the Shrine had promised to protect. The Rider Cult was savage and vicious in many ways to Actand. Shrine members smelled burning bodies on the wind one early morning. They rushed to see the whole village had been burned into a communal pyre. "A devil on nightmare back stood before the sacrifice and hooded cultists chanted that it was for the Rider." Shrine members put every cultist down but the fiend escaped. Kohlingen helped pursue the cult for months afterward. The 2nd shrine was made after a falling out with Theos when he became great druid and they decided they needed a new locaiton.
Actand has a history of planar instability and the current cult arose when the bastion a fort where demons and devils warred was sent back to the outer planes. The cult there are unconnected to the village. They are doomsday cultists who worship the idea of the world ending in a war between the Abyss and the seven heavens. They think they will get reborn as chosen ones in the new perfect world.
Salandran temple was built by Nightengale a cleric of Ilmater and follower of Salandra. Largely responsible for raising Salandra as a local saint.

Darby on Caraigh: "The people in the glade did suck". There weren't any druids, just random rangers and things. They retreated when things got hard on Caraigh during the blight. The island was full of undead. The rangers were there for a while protecting it from "Robert" who tried to claim Caraigh as his own, and cultists as well. The island had always been cursed though. Oakmist Vale grove actually made things worse in some cases. Grove wanted to sacrifice the people of Wiltun and the Wardens at one point. Oakmist Vale wasn't really related to the grove on Caraigh except by way of "Crow" being sent to try to lay claim by proxy. There were cultists on Caraigh. They followed "demon prince of undeath". The cultists were starting violence on the island and Robert and the Glade offered to fight for them but they didn't want to be ruled by Robert, who up and left. WIltun had to step in because they didn't want an island of cultists and undead. Jarl had no respect after a point on Caraigh, and they didn't like rulers. Ab was a knight but not a First Knight and they went in and helped rebuild the town, got rid of the cultists, trained some milita, and left some Iron Guards. They they were hit by a sickness. Many died before Roland a cleric of Wiltun could help. An angry mob formed when food was brought so people wouldn't stare. They threw objects at the Wiltun force. They used to be intolerant of non humans and magic. Darby likes Caraigh and tried to work to help them. Caraigh was fought over by a bunch of small Jarldoms, well clans really, until the winner founded Aigeshed. Then, it was destroyed due to his greed for power. It is the other reason Wiltun had to step in. Another Jarldom would've if they didn't. They might not have been so generous. The Stag is the life on the island, and Ester is death. When Ester was trapped nothing was dying which was creepy, so you need both to have balance.
Reappearance of Castle Blackmoor - Almost swept some people out to sea from the giant wave it caused in town, but we saved them. The defenders of Blackmoor are unidentified. It could've been the remnants of the glade, roberts folk, or adventurers.

Rosary: sun elf by name of something like Kell Ap Morgar found some explosives at Eldfell Peak for the great fire.
Malandria of the Grove: About ten or eleven years ago. During that time there were more troublemakers to deal with, and most of the adventuring population used to gather just past the crossroads. Cordor had become far stricter than it was in the past. It was in the past, open to "more oddities". People talked of fiends standing around Cordor from time to time. Possibly due to the seagulls, because it was believed a murderer was taking seagull form often. Originally gathering was done in the main square in Cordor south, then it moved to the woods, then the Dale after they were driven away from the woods. Adventurer combat happened often during this time, so it was safer in many ways without them gathering in the woods. There was only one great fire, and no Kossuthians were involved.*
*This is a contradiction of the general history notes from the libraries across Amia. Great clarification is requested of the situation with the overpopulation of non predators in Amia forest.
It was started by the Sharrans, led by one traitorous elf, later decaled N'tel'quessir, Kell-Ap-Morgan. There were no Kossuthians of note with regards to the Amia forest. Main deities worshipped are silvanus and Mielikki, but most non evil nature deities are allowed inside nowadays. The first Shrine of Eilistraee was here indeed. There is at least safe passage allowed for most races.
Galan on siege of keep in Guldorand: That was a wonderful keep they had finished for a whole two months before they pissed off the wrong druid. On life in the keep - well they are banites so lots of grunting, tough talk, infighting. Dark and "edgy" keep inside, otherwise rather standard.

Cyrro: Johanna Hardingdale mayor of Dale, blight upon the land. There was a threat, don't remember if it was vampire or what. But...Johanna had the Dale evacuate and take up residence in Khalem. Cultural differences, but the Hin proved to be good with agriculture.

Rosary on the fall of Kohlingen: Often we used to gather around the city of Kohlingen because there was a mission to defeat forces of evil. Sometime before the day of the destruction we went to seek out the pyroclastic whose name I cannot remember. I believe Torsten had the dragon core-weapon thingy inside him. As we arrived at the pyroclastic lair, and inside the heart of it, the pyroclastic snatched it off him. Then it broke loose, the lair was crumbling on top of uss o we have to escae. There was lava, and Illunamaeryx the gold dragon stayed behind to destroy the pyroclastic eggs. The next time we saw the pyroclastic was when he burnt Kohlingen to the ground. Some say that was the why. Others say it was Torsten who kept appeasing the pyroclastic, and allowed him to be a player with the ordeal. Rather than doing his duty to keep the pyroclastic away. Law'Claianna used a wish spell to defeat the shadow dragon. Lost her magic. The pyroclastic was setting fire to the city so we escaped to Barak Runedar. That is where they took refuge before moving to the island of Chalkcliff. Some fled to mainland parts.
Before the fall of Kohlingen we went to a green dragons lair who was a druid. Kept a secret hole they safe guarded, inside the hole was the chaos maw. Whatever it was called. The green dragon wanted to make sure that the entities did not come out of the chaos maw. I was inside with toodles. Green was also trying to ascend to godhood and use the dragonbane to kill Bahamut. Forestbloom? Eventually the green was corrupted by the aberration entity for decades or centuries, and that's when the whole thing started. Someone needed to look inside. The wards were weakened and that is how the green was corrupted. The dragons needed to kill each other for their cores to make dragon slaying weapons - I think. Some game, name of Xorvintaal I believe.

Xy'glythar on the Bathrie war in Ostland:
War Knights was an order dedicated to Tempus and other powers of war. Their heraldry was red and gold, they were based in the keep Rethguard, in Ostland. May have noticed their mention in the "Brief and Incomplete" of Belenoth.
When Malantril was their leader, we cooperated with them successfully if briefly, for his life was taken during the war you mention. Conflict was not a steady flow of events, but a lengthy pause. One of the local noble houses of Ruathym, Bathrie, took power in Ostland. I do not know details of the start of conflict, but War Knights found themselves involved in conflict with Bathrie and Wiltun. Bathrie was notorious for heavy use of a residual...Entity in Ostland. A highly potent tree, once created by a sect of dwarven druids. Powerful and invasive, it served as a basis for their magic and their power.
War Knights hit heavily in the conflict, and the issue seemed to grow to a greater regional level. I recall Bathrie ship arriving and making some demands as far as Barak Runedar.
Efforts were made against them, concealed and otherwise.

I also did not see anything of note on the history of Belenoth in the general history. Thus I have been given a history of Belenoth to reproduce here. I give it to you almost exactly as given to me.
Xy'glythar's notes on the history of Belenoth:

Barak Tungstuk(1381 DR??)
Earlier still - [dwarves established]
Earlier - [dwarves abandoned]
Before Summer - Autumn, 1380 DR, Joint War-Knight - Barak Runedar expedition to Barak Tungstuk takes place. Lead by Malantril Bannilylth, it successfully purges current inhabitants, and conducts repairs of forges and metalworking equipment. It's abandoned again in a matter of weeks.

Mid 1381 to early 1382: Belenoth state establishes neutral relationships with village of Chillwyck, cordial with Endir's Point.
Late 1381 to early 1382: Blood contigency riots take place in Cordor. Belenoth contributes generous sums to Cordorian Restoration funds.
20 Hammer, 1382 DR : After ritual hunt and feast, cordial relationships and alliance between Belenoth and Eldfell tribe are established.
Tarsakh 1382 : Contact with denizens of L'obsul is made. Alliance with Duergar is forged. Three members of Clan Kheledan later join Belenoth.

Mid autumn 1382: After successful auction of unused part of the pool, Belenoth provides over 10 million coins for Cordor Restoration, and 5 million for the library after agreeing the library is independent under guidance of Loremasters Guild.
10 Uktar 1382: Belenoth initiated expedition to the Library of Loss takes place. Led by Madrik Street, it is augmented by servants of Wiltun, Cordor, and adventurers. Expedition a moderate success, with acolytes of Triumvir rescued from hostile afterlife.

Items of historical value had been collected for safekeeping and research by expedition members Theodor Gedrhoste and Beldor Ma'fer. Amongst noteworthy finds is a presenve of Lesser Ioun stone in the tomb likely predating Netheril - a final piece of proof debunking nonsensical "Congenio Ioun" legend.
18 Eleasis 1387 DR : A space-time right in Cordor, nicknamed "Nexus", had been closed through concentrated effort of Belenoth and Tarkuul magoi. Cordor Guard and assorted agents provided additional support in the enterprise.

Thayvian Influence Vol 1 & 2.
The Story of Nabessa the Sword Saint, by an unknown author.

Furthermore, there are several claims by a druid of the Grove in the book titled "History of Hostility between the Grove and the Shrine". Due to interviews with the Shrine, I would ask for clarification on this book by Malandria, current druid of the Grove. Otherwise, when asked about these statements, the Shrine of Eilistraee has responded "He lied".

There is a small public museum in Wiltun that has not been put in this book.

This work published in order to:
"Collect and preserve knowledge before it is lost."
"Disseminate knowledge as widely as possible so that all can benefit from its instruction."
