A poem is left in the Guildhall for all to see

Post by Ravenovf »

Writen on immaculate illuminated scroll paper in an exacting and precise calligraphy a poem can be found on the guild halls notice board for all to enjoy.

Hope is

Hope is an island storm tossed amid a trackless sea

Hope is the ranger who takes up blade and bow willing into danger for the glades protection they do go

Hope is warrior who stands firmly on the wall willing to pay a most grizzly personal cost that innocent lives might not be lost,

Hope is the mage who discovers secrets lost in realms deadly and dark that they might become a guiding arcane spark.

Hope is the faithful who endure evil's wrath and would turn the lost and wicked upon a nobler path.

Hope is the one who seeks a metallic dragons strength so that good can prevail because there was a time when they were weak and they found their might to fail

Hope is a crew of pirates thought strange as it might seem sail a sea of swords to free all who endure the slavers lash their shared dream.

Hope is the druid in a devastated vale surrounded by death and ash with tear stained eyes she tries to coax life anew refusing to let herself fail.

Hope is a faerie who smiles and offers to carry your pain every burden dragging her down only to force herself to raise again.

Hope are the many who saw their city fall through loss and pain they stand offering bricks to rebuild a fallen wall.

Hope is a monster raised in evil ways who stands among the noble forsaking a past filled with darker days.

Hope is the shadow who chose to become a creature of the night that someone might turn the tables on the evil souls that prowl where there is only dying light.

Hope is a drow who gazes at the moon through agony and horror they have come to be healed and born anew.

Hope is the halfling who lives upon the Dale who takes measures of courage not in height but in a hero's soul brave and hale.

Hope is a gnome whose body has broken and been maimed laying down his life to protect a city threatened to be consumed by evil flame.

Hope is a dwarf who is grim and iron made who will die to defend his halls from evil's foul and fetid blade.

Hope is an elf who waits on Winyas storied walls, arrow ever nocked and trained to bring evil to its fall.

Hope is the half-breed, plane touch and torn who strive to be more than the mixed parts from whence they were born.

Hope is the person no matter what their race who puts aside their differences to stand for the common good and lay down their life if need be where they have stood.

Hope is all those who have been broken up on that wheel of tragic pain who continue to put one foot in front of the other and for what is right do it all again.

Hope is a storm tossed island amid a trackless sea, a place that we call Amia home to monsters, freaks, the lost, the broken and heroes who are a guttering light against the darkness just like you and me.

A response is attached below; paper is unpretentious and handwriting, while slightly jagged, is entirely readable.

Love is
Love is the time,
when thoughts flow like wine,
every line - a rhyme,
and your spellbook is mine.
