DC Gear question

I was curious, I already have a DC Shield made, but there are three Shield versions that can only be crafted by a Dm. So when I wear different outfit's I can not change style's to match my gear color and craft. If I was to request another exact DC Shield version, would the amount of DC cost be the same as the original DC Shield I requested? Or would there be some sort of a possible discount since I would only be gaining a vanity look and would get no advantages mechanically?
