*A dark easily distinct dragon figure flies over the Quagmire Swamps landing near the ruins before letting out a loud growling roar. He was then seen outside the Mercenary Camp demanding that the ones that killed his mate and egg be delivered to him in three days time. A particular dark time as the Quagmires already were dealing with their own hardships with the Green Tribe Lizardfolk*
The kobold Kurchin moves around a lot between the Red Tribe camp and the kobold warren below, often surveying the defenses, making sure that guard shifts are well covered, and double checking the trap defenses to see that everything is ready. He moves about, quite busy, preparing the places for assault.
When not doing that however, he sometimes leaves for quick errands elsewhere. He keeps moving, spending little time resting, and clearly is in a tense mood.
As he'd apparently missed the Dragon's initial approach, after Vuthamolik learned of the creature's arrival, he'd go about assisting in aiding in defensive preparations as well.
It was, after-all, his actions and directions that seated the foundations and materials for their walls. His leadership and personal efforts that outfitted and trained their guards to no-longer need outside mercenaries or foreign occupation. He'd mark down, then, when the third day would be, and scheduled himself in a long shift at the wall. To await patiently the inevitable. Also to chew out an otherwise unknown Dragon for daring to nest in His Swamp.

A few Kohlingen guards are moved from the city to the eastern edge of the quagmires, along with a ballista pulled from Whitestag. If approached, it seems they have orders to prevent any fighting from spilling over onto the eastern road, and the work camp.
On the third day, a copper dragon much smaller than the black dragon is seen slipping into the camp from the Wave portal location. Cromlech hurries to the Warren to check in with the kobolds, telling them that whatever happens, she'll be there to try to help. She says the same to the Lizardfolk leaders, and then goes about near the entrance, looking for good places to put her own traps.

*The Black Dragon would appear as he promised outside the Quagmire Mercenary Camp. He made his demands and attempted to ambush the defending group with beholders that attacked from within the caves. Shortly after though the black returned to finish a score with a certain copper dragon only to be bested by a group waiting. The Black fell to the group and during the attempt to burn the corpse the green tribe began to stir distracting the group. They left some Platinum Knights to guard the body while they investigated and when they returned the body of the dragon was gone and the knights were killed. After raising the Knights they could they soon learned that a darkness fell over them and a weird figure came in and when the darkness lifted the strange creature and dragon were both gone*
